Mark your calendars everyone. The Avengers Half Marathon sign up is on April 12 9 am pacific standard time. The Avengers half marathon weekend consists of several races during November 11-November 13 2016. There are Kid races, a Captain America 5k, A Doctor Strange 10k, and the Avengers Half. If you sign up for the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge (the 10k and the Half Marathon) you get an extra cool medal for finishing both races.
I ran the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge last year.I highly recommend it. Plus where else can you run a race and see your favorite super heroes like Captain America, Black Widow, and Thor pose with you along the race course. If you’re a comic book fan and love to run this race is for you.
Thanks for reading and I hope this inspires you to sign up for a race 🙂
D23 expo was this past weekend at the Anaheim convention center. It comes ever other year and it was my first time going.
I decided to go as Vanessa, Ursuala’s alter ego on land. The costume I made turned out great.
I got in line about 7 am the convention opened at 10 am.
The nice thing is that D23 expo had stage pass for some panels. It’s basically like a fast pass so you don’t have to wait in line for hours and hours. I was able to stag a pass for the shorts panel.
The short panel discussed the different shorts featured in the new DVD. The coolest thing was a sketch book they gave to all audience members.
Another cool thing about the expo was a chance to visit the Disneyland archives. It featured props from rides, photos, badges, and costumes. I took a ton of photos.
This was the end of the collection. Amazing!!!
There were tons of phot opportunities and amazing cosplays. I was lucky to take some photos with some amazing cosplayers.
My favorite had to be this one with Flynn Rider. Move Eric I have my eye on Flynn, Maximus doesn’t approve. Can’t help it Flynn stole my heart.
I really was a fan of cosplayers that cosplayed less popular characters, Mr. and Mrs. Darling (Wendy’s parents) Olivia (Great Mouse Detective) King Steffan and the Queen (Aurora’s parents) and the Haunted Mansion (Amber Arden’s tightrope girl was amazing)
There was another great opportunity to take a photo on a Star Wars speed racer. It was pretty awesome.
Disney Infinity has a booth too. Uou had an opportunity to choose one of six figurines after their interactive experience. I was one of the last in line to get this opportunity, the line was two hours long but for a free infinity figure so worth it.
I picked up Sadness. She’s so cute.
Got to get a sneak peak of Disney Shanghai.
And another sneak peek of Pandora at Animal Kingdom
Plus there will be a lot of exciting with the announcement of Star Wars land in Disneyland and DisneyWorld. So much exciting new developments and expansions. It’s an amazing era for Disney. Can’t wait to see all the developments completed.
Plus all the cute products that will come out soon for Disney style at the Disney store.
It was an amazing day and I ended the day sailing back to the sea. After all Vanessa can’t remain on land forever.
I did buy a few things and scored some free stuff. I loved my Aristocats prints I bought and my Disney Vans. I loved the Ariel ones. Ironic that Vanessa bought Ariel shoes but it was the only way to get a little mermaid.
It was a fabulous day can’t wait for 2017. Thanks for reading, have a magical day.
It’s less than a week away, but soon everyone will be able to signup for the Tibkerbell half marathon weekend.
It will be the 5th anniversary of the Tinkerbell half. Very excited I’ve already signed up for the Pixie dust Challenge. The Pixie Dust Challege includes the 10k and the half marathon. For doing both races you get a third medal the Pixie Dust Challenge medal.
To sign up please visit the RunDisney site. Registration starts at 9 am Pacific time. They have kids races, a 5k fun run, 10k, and a half. It’s lots fun and everyone can do it. All you need is a little faith and trust oh and don’t forget the PIxie Dust 😉
This was me this year with my 10k medal. So much fun.
This past Friday was Harry Potter’s birthday and what better way to celebrate it is by doing a Hogwarts virtual race at Disneyland. I’ve mentioned the Hogwarts Running Club in a previous post. If you aren’t familiar with them you sign up, they send you your medal, and you do your miles anywhere and anytime.
We signed up for the Department of Mysteries 6.2442 race and decided to do our race in California Adventure and Disneyland. So two Hufflepuffs, a Slytherin, and a Ravenclaw finished and took a picture with a mouse.
I also took a picture by the castle.
It was a lot of fun. I already signed up for the next virtual race Platform 9 3/4k race. The race cost 28.25 including the service fee. I highly recommend doing them and sign up quickly before it sells out. Here is the medal you’ll receive.
Thanks for reading! Have a magical day 😊✨
This past Friday, July 17th, Disneyland celebrated it’s 60th birthday. I must admit Disneyland keeps getting better with age and goes to show it’s forever young.
I decided to camp over night with my friend Kaitlyne. We got in line about 10:20 pm. We were moved to three different location throughout the night. Finally we got to go in. I was in the first 100. We all received buttons. This was a bit disappointing since the 24 hour party received ears. Now the actually 60th should have received ears as the 50th did. I still have my 50th ears. The date is embroidered on the back.
I decided to Disneybound as the old Orange Grove of Anaheim. I got inspired by a clip from the fireworks in which orange groves are projected on the side of the building and they mention how before there was Disneyland there were the Orange Groves.
My friend was lucky to secure a reservation on the Lily Belle. If you haven’t heard what the Lilly Belle is, it’s a beatiful presidential train car that isn’t always running and has limited reservation spots. If you get to disneyland first thing when it opens run to the train station and try to grab a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.
We got to sit where Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp have sat. Best thing of riding the Lily Bell besides being In a beautiful train car, you also get a commemorative ticket to remember the special day.
For the rest of the day we walked around and enjoyed the sites and took lots of pictures.
Free cupcakes were giving out to celebrate the day.
Richard Sherman played Feed the Birds on the piano. How awesome.
Took a picture with the Dapper Dammes.
And some Dapper Dans.
It was a fun day!!
Best part I later found out that I was mentioned in Dinsey Style as one of the favorite outfits of the 60ths. Here is the article which also features so many other fabulous outfits. Favorite outfits of the 60th
Hope everyone is having a great 4th whether you’re in the States or not 🙂 I decided to celebrate America’s birthday by Disneybounding as Captain America, the girly version. The dress is from Hot Topic Her Universe clothing line. My Avengers pin is from disney. A cute bow I bought at a geek fair and ballon purse from Sarahs curtesy skirts.
I headed to Disneyland to get a picture with the famous super hero. He definitely approved of my outfit.
I even got one with Thor don’t ever tell him that Loki is your favorite He was offended. I told him I did like him…”Umm you have a good body” lol
Oh and red, white and blue desserts were had. A 60th celebration cupcake (lemon with a raspberry filling) and a Raspberry Rose macaroon fillies with whole raspberries. Mmm so yummy.
After dessert I got to see my favorite mainstreet performers the Dapper Dans.
I was so happy I got a picture with them. I love their red, white, and blue dapper outfits.
It was a great day even though I was there for just a bit. I did manage to get some sparkly 60th ears. I love that they are blue. I love blue.
It was a great way to start the 4th. Do you dress up for the 4th? Do you have a favorite superhero.
Hope everyone had a great fourth!
It’s more than 7 months away, but pre-registration for the Star Wars Half Marathon for annual pass holders already occurred and I thought I was going to have a heart attack during sign up. I ran the inaugural half this year with friends. It was so much fun. I dressed up as R2D2, my friend as Chewy, and her fiancé as Luke.
I have a system that I have done for a year or two that has worked. I’m in front of my computer by 15 minutes before registration opens. All signed up through the annual pass page and just before it hits the registration time I hit refresh and boom I hit the page link and I’m in. All of that was going well this morning except when I went to the RunDisney page and hit the link to sign up for the Star Wars Half marathon and only abblank page would open. What the hell? I was seriously getting worried. Lucky I had my phone by me and signed up through there. Which to tell you the truth is not the same. I hate typing on touch screen and double checking that I didn’t accidentally type something wrong, because I always manage to do that. In the end I successfully signed up for the Star Wars half marathon.
I was curious why my computer wasn’t working properly. So on a hunch I downloaded the latest version of Flash. Sure enough that was the problem. So next time I will make sure to have all my updates done before sign up.
If you are interested in signing up for any of the races for the Star Wars half marathon week, registration opens to the public on June 16th (12 pm eastern or 9 amPacific ). You can go to the RunDisney page for more information. Tip on registration, be sure to be at your computer 15 minutes before registration with the link open and hit refresh a minute before or on the actual sign up time. Have your credit/debit card in front of you too. You don’t want to be searching for it last minute or digging through your purse. Trust me, it saves time.
Hope those who are thinking about doing a RunDisney race sign up for the Star Wars one. They have all levels from kids, 5k, 10k, to half. They are so much fun and the medals are pretty awesome. Thanks for reading and “may the force be with you” during sign up!
